Cambodia is located in Southeast Asia and ranked 144 out of 189 countries in the world based on the UN’s Human Development Index.1 Alarmingly over 37% of the population live in severe multidimensional poverty.1
Our Local Partners
In Cambodia, our implementing partners are working in rural villages that are often extremely difficult to access, especially during the rainy season. We work in isolated rural locations that are home to over 3.3 million people who lack access to a safe and improved water source. Sanitation is also a significant challenge with over 6.3 million people (51% of the rural population) lacking access to adequate sanitation facilities.2
Serving the Unreached
The dominant religion in Cambodia is Buddhism with over 85% of the population identifying as Buddhist. There are 43 people groups in Cambodia and 31 remain unreached with the gospel. Christianity is growing yet is still in the minority at 3.2% of the population.3 Our local partners mobilize local pastors and churches to implement water projects in villages where there is often no Christian presence. Your support equips pastors to meet physical needs and also share the living water of Jesus Christ.

Our Work
We are focused on improving health in rural Cambodia through a variety of water programs. Projects range from hand pumps, household safe water treatment programs, and community/school WASH programs that aim to address safe water supply, handwashing, and improved sanitation.
