Your project is part of a comprehensive program that includes many stages: from preparing locations and communities, construction, and water testing, to empowering and training the local church. Projects that are more complex can take longer to complete. Rainy seasons can also delay project progress. Even with careful planning, unexpected delays can arise from political instability, limited raw materials, or water issues at the site. We also believe in community ownership, so we spend time training residents on how to operate and maintain the water point. Water testing is completed and photos and stories are collected. This all takes time to ensure long-term sustainability.
