A birthday wish that gives life
It's my 49th birthday! Like most of you reading this, I don’t need anything. I have a family who loves me, a safe place live, clothes to wear, food to eat… and I have something that ALL of us take for granted… clean water to drink. But 1 in 12 people in our world still lack access to clean water today.
Together, we can end the water crisis for 6,000 people in Cambodia!
This year, I want us to do something we've never been able to do before - raise $300,000 for people living without access to clean and safe drinking water.
Since 2015, the Chris Beat Cancer community has raised well over a million dollars and brought clean water to about 47,000 people in Cambodia.
I’ve seen it with my own eyes. Micah and I have been to Cambodia a few times. I stood next to the filthy pond a woman used to pull from, then watched her fill a cup from the clean well we put in her village. You don’t forget something like that.

What we’ve funded together since 2015
The Chris Beat Cancer community has funded 167 hand pumps in Cambodia (serving over 16,700 people), 33 school WASH projects (serving over 6,300 students), a school rain tank serving 360 kids, and more than 500 household filters — over 47,000 people in total with safe, clean drinking water.
Villages also contribute toward maintenance — one village raised $150, more than a month’s income for the average family.
Last year, 9 donors each funded their own projects (and some, multiple projects!) and got their names the plaques.
Because illnesses caused by viruses, bacteria and parasites in dirty water kill more children than AIDS, malaria, and measles combined
