Project costs vary greatly depending on the technology used and country location. Each year, we review the budget to make sure all the essential components are accounted for, including site surveys, raw materials, water quality testing, safe hygiene/sanitation promotion, ministry training and resources, construction, staff costs, transportation, and more.
We estimate the costs for different water solutions and bracket them into $5,000 increments. Larger water projects that pipe water to thousands of people in a large community can cost more than $500K. In these cases, we combine several gifts of varying amounts to complete the project.
We choose to work in unreached, remote locations where there is a critical need for water and where no one else is working. This comes with cost, but it also opens doors for the gospel in some of the hardest-to-reach areas of the world.
