Africa’s Sahel region cuts across the entirety of Northern Africa. Within the Sahel, our strategic focus countries include Chad and Niger, home to 33 million unreached people1. More than 20 million people in rural Chad and Niger do not have access to clean water.
The Crisis
DO SOMETHING
Fund a Project in
Serve an entire community or school with clean and living water. Projects range in cost depending on the region, project type, and amount of people served.
Serving the Unreached
The Sahel region represents a large component of the western third of the 10/40 Window, and stands today as one of the most spiritually needy areas of the world. In both Chad and Niger the Christian Church is in the extreme minority and Christians are often persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ. Local Churches are marginalized and lack connection and acceptance by the wider community.
Our local partners invite pastors and churches to participate in the provision of clean water, thereby giving them the opportunity to introduce themselves and build meaningful relationships with unreached communities. We have seen how this changes attitudes towards the Christian community and creates an openness for relationships to be established.
Our WASH programs in Chad & Niger provide training in evangelism and support local pastors with evangelistic resources. The program also supports livelihood initiatives aimed at empowering local believers to be sustainable and able to undertake and lead evangelistic activities in their localities on their own initiative.

Our Plan
With your help, more than 210,000 rural people will be served with access to clean and living water in our 2 target regions Chad and Niger by the end of 2028, completing the task which began in 2021 and providing everyone in the regions with access to clean water. You can make it possible to see:
communities gain access to clean drinking water through mechanized boreholes and piped water systems connected to community tap stands
tap stands constructed in schools and connected to completed systems
communities trained to operate and maintain water points
local pastors and evangelists participated in WASH programs, effectively using safe water as the access point to improve relationships and share the gospel with unreached communities
